Sotheby’s Paris – Art Contemporain Day & Evening Sales

Experience Contemporary Art at Sotheby's Paris in 360°

Sotheby’s France – June 2018

As the Art Contemporain exhibition goes on display from the 1 June in the Sotheby’s 76 Faubourg Galleries, we give viewers an opportunity to step inside the gallery, walk amongst these exceptional pieces and to interact with the stories behind them from the comfort of their own home.

For this exciting virtual experience, Sotheby’s has collaborated with the Paris-based studio Notoryou to go beyond the flat screen and bring objects to life in the beautifully curated galleries. Works by artists such as Daniel Buren, Pierre Soulages and Yayoi Kusama feature in the sale, as well as Jean Dubuffet’s 1946 work Portrait d’homme and a painting by Zao Wou-Ki, 21.03.69, that appears at auction for the first time.

Notoryou is a Paris-based creative studio that specialises in cultural immersive tours and VR experiences. They have recently mapped virtual walk-throughs of exhibition at The Maison Européenne de la Photographie and the Sotheby’s Paris Design Sale in April. You can take a look at this exhibition, including the installation in the central space of the striking 6×6 metre house conceived in 1945 by Jean Prouvé.
